Go In Peace

Catholic Reflections for Glorifying the Lord

Jesus walks with two modern-day disciples along a country road toward a village church, symbolizing the Christian journey of carrying faith into daily life.
Christ walks with us beyond the church doors and into the journey of daily life.

Who we are:

Go in Peace is a Substack publication of the National Catholic Broadcasting Council (NCBC), and named after the words of dismissal at the end of the Catholic Mass:

Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life.

It is designed as a complementary platform to our production of the Daily TV Mass, offering longer-form Catholic reflections, essays, interviews, and conversations that explore how the grace received at Mass is lived out in daily life.

Rooted in the Catholic tradition and guided by pastoral sensitivity, Go in Peace” provides a slower, reflective space for readers seeking deeper engagement with faith beyond the altar, while remaining fully aligned with the mission of the Daily TV Mass community.

Our Vision:

This Substack is an invitation to reflect more deeply on how the grace we receive at Mass is carried into daily life — into our homes, our work, our relationships, our questions, and our hopes. It is not a replacement for the Mass, nor a commentary on it, but a space for thoughtful Catholic reflection on what it means to live the Gospel beyond the altar.

This space is offered freely and openly. It is rooted in the Catholic tradition and guided by pastoral sensitivity, with room for wonder, reflection, and respectful conversation.

Readers are welcome to engage, reflect, and share — always in a spirit worthy of the words that send us forth from every Mass.

How you can Help:

Engage often with “Go in Peace”. Share it with family and friends. We offer deep reflections, interviews, cultural engagement, and longer narratives rooted in Catholic life and mission. Our purpose is to:

  • Extend the mission of the Daily TV Mass into longer-form reflection

  • Engage readers seeking depth, conversation, and lived faith

  • Reach a wider audience without displacing our existing offerings

  • Provide a flexible platform for future growth in storytelling and pastoral engagement

Wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are WELCOME here.

Go in peace — and glorify the Lord by your life."

Peace in Christ,

Deacon Mike Walsh
